I have a couple friends who have stayed there.
.
The womans and childrens side is ok..
But the mens side is pretty much a den of alcohol drug abuse dealing..selling foodstamp cards for drugs and booze.. And they have no ambition to work as long as they have good food and a place to flop...Added July 14, 2017 by sheree richmond - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
I am a previous volunteer. While I am not homeless, I believe this is a very good resource for homeless people to take advantage of. Food, water, and shelter, and maybe a bit of time to reflect on where you should take your life from here. Can't recommend enough.

My experience: I went there for help. The woman at the front desk was kind. The woman in the office was cold and and treated me like I was a thorn in her side. I can tell she'd made up her mind the minute I walked through her door.
Word around town is that you have to "play the game" I didn't. I just genuinely asked for help....and, apparently, that wasn't enough.Added April 23, 2017 by Chase Dreams - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
they will take most things. they don't take electronics very often as when they have had to take such items to the land fill, they get burned on the fees. they do not have the resources to repair anything. they do give the stuff to people in need, based on there income. a very noble mission.
